With a degree in Industrial Engineering, Baren comes from a background in engineering and operations, having worked on projects in the complex worlds of the fishing, boatbuilding, telecommunications and mining industries.

Baren completed an MBA at the Stellenbosch Business School which equipped him with the necessary holistic tools to compliment his natural personal entrepreneurial ability.

For the last thirteen years, Baren has worked in executive and general management positions specialising in supply chain initiatives, project management, operations management, organisational strategic planning with organisational improvement implementation, asset management and business start-up.

Personal strengths include forward thinking (big picture), getting things done, evaluative by nature, dynamic and energetic with the ability to make quick analytical and logical decisions.
